We put our region’s cancer needs first
As a leading independent cancer charity for our region, we dedicate our resources to tackling the cancers that affect people living across the North West of England and North Wales.
Cancer affects people all over the world daily. But with new advances in medicine and a better understanding of the disease, there will soon be a day when we can look forward to a cancer-free future.
Until then, North West Cancer Research will continue to put our region’s cancer needs first.
Because cancer has no place in our home.
Did you know?
In the North West, you are 26% more likely to get lung cancer than in the rest of the UK.
And in North Wales, head and neck cancer is 18% more common than in the rest of the country.
That’s why we do what we do.
Help us tackle the cancers that affect our region the most
We conduct extensive research within each community of our region and examine the cancers that are most prevalent. This means we’re always looking out for you, your neighbours and your loved ones and that’s why we need your donations.
Funding helps us to invest in world-class research that is highly targeted and specific to the cancers that are impacting the lives of those who call the North West their home.
Working alongside some of the most high-quality scientists and clinicians, we’re searching for new treatments and drugs that will improve patient care and ultimately find a cure.
It also supports us in the work we do out in the community. Across local schools, businesses and town centres, we educate adults and children on how to prevent and spot the signs of various types of cancer and support them through the next steps.
We do it for you
Our incredible region is made up of iconic landmarks and brilliant people that you won’t find anywhere else. But the same goes for our rates of cancer.
That’s why we need your donations. Because cancer has no place in our home.
With your donations, we can continue to invest in life-saving treatments, conduct more research into the symptoms and causes and educate people like you on what to look out for and how to prevent cancer.
