North West Cancer Research to host Family Fun Day in Anglesey

Menai Bridge 5k or 10k Your Way!

North West Cancer Research is to host a Family Fun Day in Anglesey, following their Menai Bridge 5k or 10k Your Way!

The Fun Day, which is to be held Sunday 24th March 2019 at Prince’s Pier, will welcome both participants and non-participants on the day to enjoy children’s activities including bouncy castles, obstacle course and Easter crafts, as well as a range of food and refreshment trucks, including Cocktails on Wheels, for the grown-ups. Activities will start from 10am.

The perfect wind-down after the race, guests will also be invited to enter into a raffle and tombola for some exclusive prizes, including an overnight stay for two at Tre-Ysgawen Hall including spa treatment.

The Charity are inviting participants to cross the iconic North Wales landmark of Menai Bridge in any way they like. Whether it’s walking, running, jogging, skipping or even jumping, fundraisers can choose to complete either 5K or 10K and all money raised will go toward life-saving research in the region, including at local Bangor University.

Meeting at Prince’s Pier, the wheelchair and pram friendly routes start along the North Wales Coast Path towards Menai Bridge, with views across the Menai Straits and Holy Island.

Anglesey singing sensation and Britain’s Got Talent finalist Gruffydd Wyn, will also be performing at the Family Fun Day in Prince’s Pier after being named as a Patron of the Anglesey fundraising group of North West Cancer Research, who formed last year to support the Charity by organising community fundraisers and events.
