A mother from Chorley is marking her tenth year living with cancer by challenging herself to cycle 300-miles in an event to raise money for cancer research.
Hannah Bracegirdle, 36, will take part in North West Cancer Research’s Cycle of Hope challenge this July where she will cycle 70-miles a day over four days.

The owner of Liverpool’s Japanese restaurant, Izakaya will take on an epic 300mile cycling challenge, to raise money for life-saving cancer research in support of his uncle.

Harry Marquart, will take part in North West Cancer Research’s Cycle of Hope challenge this July, cycling 70 miles a day over four days.

The 26-year-old who lives in Crosby and is from West Cork, Ireland originally signed up after his uncle was diagnosed with throat cancer.

After spending 15 years in and out of hospital with skin cancer, Karen Byrne is passionate about helping charity North West Cancer Research (NWCR) raise awareness of the disease.

Karen Byrne, 45, from Lancaster, was diagnosed with malignant melanoma (a form of skin cancer) in 2003, after noticing a tiny black mole on her lower leg.

It was only after briefly mentioning it during a visit to her GP with her son who had chickenpox, that she was called back in for a biopsy, which later revealed it was malignant melanoma.
