Join us on this unforgettable adventure and help stop cancer in its tracks!

Location: North West, Wales, Ireland

Cycle of Hope, a unique event to mark our 70th anniversary, offers you the opportunity to cycle through some of the most spectacular scenery the UK and Ireland has to offer.

Starting from our world class research centre in Lancaster, you will cycle almost 300 miles to Dublin via our Liverpool and Bangor research centres.

Day one Lancaster – Liverpool (approx. 70 miles)

Taking in the striking countryside of Lancashire before continuing south to the beautiful coastal towns of Southport and Formby. The final cycle for the day takes us to the iconic town of Liverpool, home of the famous Beatles not to mention two Cathedrals! This is your base for the evening and some well-earned rest.

Day 2 Liverpool to Bangor (approx. 70 miles)

After a hearty breakfast, we take a ferry across the Mersey as we cycle our way towards North Wales. Following the coast we cycle through numerous well known holiday towns, chosen for their beautiful scenery and coffee stops. The final leg of our journey today takes us to one of the smallest cities in the UK, Bangor. Our home for the evening.

Day 3 Bangor to Carlow (approx. 70 miles)

Our route today is a tale of two halves. The first sees us cycle 23 miles to Holyhead, where we leave the tranquil Welsh countryside behind and take a ferry crossing over to Dun Laoghaire for our second half of the day. After taking lunch on board, we will travel through the glorious countryside and river valleys of County Wicklow and County Kildare. Our stop for the night is in Carlow, a traditional rural town with a rich cultural heritage.

Day 4 Carlow to Dublin (approx. 70 miles)

Our final cycling day sees us leave Carlow and head in a north-easterly direction through fabulous scenic towns before arriving in the vibrant city of Dublin…our finish for the event.  and a truly wonderful, lively town. Let the celebrations begin!

We will provide support and help with both your training and fundraising.
